Sample Work: How I Research, Qualify, and Track Links

The clearest way to judge my work is to see the deliverable itself. Below are four demonstration projects in the exact format I use — sample data, real structure.

Please read this first: every project on this page is a sample / demo built with invented domain names and illustrative numbers. None of them is completed client work, and no result here should be read as a case study or a performance claim.
Sample Project

Website Prospect Qualification

A pass over a purchased or vendor-supplied list, checking whether each site behaves like a real publication or like a link shop — before any budget is committed.

  • Site audit
  • Spam signals
  • Google Search Console checks
  • Deliverable: verdict sheet

Why this matters

A rejected row saves the outreach hours and the placement fee. The sheet records which signal caused the rejection, so the same mistake doesn't repeat on the next campaign.

Sample Project

Blogger Outreach Tracking Spreadsheet

The working file behind an outreach batch: who was contacted, which follow-up is due, what was agreed, and where the link finally ended up. This is the one clients check most often.

  • Email sequences
  • Follow-up schedule
  • Negotiation notes
  • Deliverable: live tracker

How clients use it

Read-only share link, one tab per campaign. Anything agreed by email gets written into the sheet the same day, so the tracker — not the inbox — is the source of truth.

Sample Project

SEO Prospect Research

Mining competitor backlinks to find sites that already link to content like yours, then ranking those prospects by how reachable and how relevant they look.

  • SEMrush
  • Ahrefs
  • Competitor gap
  • Deliverable: ranked prospect list

Output

A prioritised list where "difficulty" is my honest estimate of how much work a reply will take — so a small budget can be spent on the top two rows first.

Case studies

Real case studies come next

As finished projects arrive, each demo above will be replaced by a real write-up — with the client's permission, and with metrics I can actually show. Until then, this page stays clearly labelled as samples, because a portfolio full of invented results would be exactly the thing I'm asking you not to trust.

What a real case study will include

  • The starting position and the client's goal
  • The prospecting criteria actually applied
  • Screenshots of the delivered sheet with sensitive data removed
  • Live placement URLs and dates
  • What didn't work, and what I'd change
